Mahogany is a straight-grained, reddish-brown to a pale pinkish brown
tropical hardwood, but occasionally has interlocked, irregular or wavy
grain. The ash’s grain is straight, with a coarse, uneven textured grain
and also may have prominent ray fleck patterns.
